	How to Measure for Blinds


Tips

Always use a steel measuring tape

Measure all distances to the nearest 1/8"

Always doublecheck your measurements

DO NOT take any width deductions. Our factory will take necessary allowances.

Our merchandise is custom made to your specifications. All specifications MUST be submitted to us writing by e-mail, fax or with our on-line order form for your protection as well as ours. Customer accepts full responsibility for own measurments.


	Choose your type of installation:


	Inside Mount will fit the blinds within the window frame

	Outside Mount will overlap the window opening


	- Inside Mount Installation -

Inside Mount - We need the exact window measurments.
Factory will make deductions for brackets.


	To find width: Measure the exact distance between the inside surfaces of the window frame at the top, middle and bottom and use the narrowest width.

	To find length: Measure the exact distance from the inside surface at top of window to the bottom sill at the left, middle and right and use the longest length. If you prefer that the blinds not touch the sill, deduct 1/4". If there is no sill, then measure length to the point where the blinds are to reach.


	- Outside Mount Installation -


		To find width: Measure the exact distance between the outermost points where the blinds are to be placed. For optimum light control, this measurement should extend 3/4" beyond the window opening on each side (1 1/2" for the entire width).

	To find length: Measure the exact distance from where the top of the blinds are to be placed to the top of the sill. If there is no sill, then measure length to the point where the blinds are to reach.
